How long have you worked for DoubleDave’s?

2 years and 6 months.

What’s your favorite DoubleDave’s product?

It used to be Peproni Rolls and now it’s Chee-Z rolls, Chee-Z rolls are where it’s at.

Ranch or red sauce?

Both, it’s gotta be dipped in ranch and then red sauce.

Favorite Pizza Of The Month so far?

CHICKEN BACON RANCH! With jalapenos! (We love his enthusiasm!)

Best experience with a customer?

6 months ago, there was a little girl and her great grandma here, and they wanted a Big Dave cheese pizza for the both of them. When I took it out to them they ate the entire thing and afterwards they came up to me and said it was the absolute best cheese pizza they’ve ever had and have been back every week since then.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I’d like to be on my way to owning a DoubleDave’s or working higher up. Personally, I’d like to be somewhere besides Bastrop, I’ve been here my whole life, I really like Austin and the atmosphere, but I’d rather be in the country side than in the city.

What is your favorite part about working for DoubleDave’s?

I like that it’s a fun place and a fun atmosphere while working with great people. I like making people happy and what better way than making pizza for people!

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Gerard Butler; his accent is on point.

What advice would you give to recent new hires?

Stick in there, especially through the first couple months, once you learn everything it gets a lot easier.

Do you have any pets?

I have two dogs, Angel and Cash, a Rottweiler and a Boxer.

What do you like to do on your days off?

I like to fish, take my dogs out kayaking, go to Austin sometimes.

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

That’s hard… I’d buy a new car; a 4-door Jeep Wrangler. I’d spent the rest on stocks, it’s a fun thing to do – it’s another thing I like to do in my free time.

What’s the best vacation you’ve taken?

I’m a missionary so I travel a lot. My favorite was when I went to the Galapagos Islands for a week and a half. I got to see the black beaches and swim with hammer head sharks. It was cool to see animals that are no where else in the world. I’ll be in Africa this summer for 3 months on another mission trip.

Do you play any sports?

I graduated high school last year and I was a linebacker, I almost went to college for football. But now I coach defensive football full time. I work most mornings at DoubleDave’s and every night I go straight to practice 5:30-9:30, except Wednesdays nights.

Favorite NFL and College teams?

Green Bay Packers and Texas Tech.

What music do you like to play on your shift?

I like to play country music but everyone else here hates country music, so I stick with the classics.

What color crayon would you be in a crayon box?

Yellow, because it sticks out and it’s the first one you see. I like to shine and make people happy.
