Joey embodies the spirit of DoubleDave’s culture and purpose and firmly believes it takes a village to raise a pizza kitchen. Every job is important to the success of the business, and every employee works as a link in a strong chain. Joey came to DoubleDave’s in 1999 by way of his time at Texas A&M University. While getting his degree in Business Management, he learned about the culture of carefully selected ingredients, the art of dough slingin’ and Customer Service 101. After graduating in 2002, he contacted Chuck in Austin and told him that he wanted to be a part of something bigger. Over the next 15 years, Joey rose through the ranks of the company, starting as a Franchise Business Consultant, replacing his boss as the Director of Operations, and finally achieving the title of Chief Operating Officer.
I prefer a servant leadership mentality: leading by serving others.
Joey believes in DoubleDave’s so much, he bought his first location in 2007. With the help of his partners, they run their restaurants as a model of what DoubleDave’s aspires to be. He firmly believes that there is no better purpose in life than helping others achieve their highest potential. His commitment to DoubleDave’s and its success is rock solid, and he plans to be there every step of the way. If you see him in the restaurants, stop him and say hello. He’ll probably be covered in flour from rolling something delicious for lunch…
